Sky-Hi News: George, Krones to compete for Grand County District 3 commissioner

During this year’s midterm election cycle, the District 3 seat for Grand County commissioner is up for grabs.

After being appointed in July of 2021 and being elected to the position during the 2022 midterm elections, Republican incumbent Randy George is poised to face off against unaffiliated candidate Jeremy D. Krones in the Nov. 3 election.

Along with a range of other impactful responsibilities and decisions, the Grand County Board of County Commissioners, which includes three seats, controls the county’s budget, directly affecting how money is allocated and spent at a local level.

The District 3 commissioner represents a vast, rural area stretching from the outskirts of Grand Lake to the western corners of the county. It includes the communities of Kremmling, Parshall and Hot Sulphur Springs.
