With wildfires like Aspen Acres, Willow, and Gold Mountain burning throughout the region, I had the opportunity to have a candid conversation about my experience in the East Troublesome Wildfire with Polly Gallagher, Public Library Leadership Senior Consultant at Colorado State Library and past Executive Director of the Grand County Library District, for her podcast Sunshine & Stories, hosted by the Colorado Virtual Library. I shared about my evacuation and recovery, and we discussed what role libraries and library districts can do to support their communities in the difficult and confusing times following disasters.
